More Canada Updates

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) issued a reminder to all Filipinos who are traveling to Canada to work or study to secure a police clearance prior to departure.

As advised by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada, all Filipino nationals (including family members above 18 years old) who intend to travel to Canada to work or to study must submit a police certificate from each country of last employment or residency where they lived for the last six (6) or more months in succession,” the DFA said.

This requirement applies to Filipinos, including those who are coming from the Middle East and other developing countries.

aircanada“Filipinos, in particular those coming from the Middle East or other developing countries, are kindly requested to heed the above advisory prior to arriving in Canada to avoid the inconvenience and difficulty of applying for police certificates after they have left the country of their last employment or residency,” the DFA said.
